Privacy policy

Updated October 2026. Brief, because a single-product site holds very little about anyone.

Handed over directly

Nothing, unless you write in. No sign-ups, no newsletter, no forms asking for details. A message you send is retained with your reply address for as long as it takes to deal with, plus a note of any correction it produced. Nobody who writes in ends up on a list.

Logged automatically

The standard web server record: which page was requested, which page sent you, a browser string, an approximate location from the network address, and a time. Every web server keeps this. It shows which pages get read and helps find faults. Where analytics software is configured, it aggregates the same category of thing.

Affiliate tracking

Worth spelling out, since it is the part specific to a site funded this way. Clicking through to the seller prompts their payment platform to set a cookie recording where the visit began. A purchase afterwards credits a commission here.

What comes back is a tally. No name, no address, no email, no card details, nothing about what was bought. The cookie belongs to the platform and lives on their domain, and from the moment you land on their pages their privacy policy applies rather than this one.

Cookies and turning them off

Anything this domain sets is limited to remembering interface state. The affiliate cookies above are set elsewhere entirely. Every current browser can block or clear both, usually under a privacy or site-data setting, and nothing here stops working if you do.

Not wanted here

Health information. If you write in, please leave it out: it cannot be acted on and there is no reason to hold it. Nothing on this site is aimed at children and no information is knowingly gathered from them.

Who else sees anything

Nothing is sold, rented or passed on. The parties who unavoidably see something are the host serving these pages, any analytics provider in use, and the affiliate platform at the moment you click through to it.

What you can request

Ask what is held about you, or ask for it to be removed, through the contact page. Given how little exists, these are usually settled quickly. Where local law grants further rights, they are honoured.

Revisions

A substantive change comes with a new date above. Continuing to use the site afterwards indicates acceptance.
